Syncovery provides you with everything you need to back up your data and to keep it safe at all times. Besides its support for various backup types, the application has many other useful features to offer. They enable you to include or exclude specific file types in your backups, encrypt them, track any changes in your folders, schedule backups and much more. The application is available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux and it can be installed in under a minute.

The application's general functionality is based on creating backup profiles and running or scheduling them. When you launch Syncovery, its compact user interface will display a welcome screen, with options for creating and running new backup jobs, editing existing ones, running several profiles and for starting the scheduler. Alternatively, you can set the interface to Advanced mode, which displays all existing profiles in a list, as well as options for running, stopping or editing them, creating new ones and so on.

Creating a new profile is not a challenging task. If you decide to create a new one from the welcome screen, a wizard will guide you through the most important options with step-by-step instructions. When creating a new profile in Advanced mode, all options will be placed right in front of you, on a single window. Although it sounds intimidating, creating a backup profile in advanced mode is as easy as creating one with the wizard's aid. All options are easy to spot and even novice users can master them, especially if they have gone through the wizard's instructions at least once.

Syncovery has very much to offer in terms of capabilities. Besides standard backups, it can also mirror folders, track and synchronize them and more. Furthermore, the application is not limited to storing backups in local folders. It can also upload your files to a FTP server, to an email account or to a cloud service of your choice.

Pros

Syncovery comes with a vast range of useful features. It supports several backup types and it can store data on FTP servers or in cloud folders. Even in Advanced mode, the application is quite easy to use.

Cons

There are no obvious issues to speak of. While Syncovery is running on your computer, you will never have to think about backing up important files, because everything will be done automatically, in a fast, efficient and secure manner.
